Mohamed Elagati is Director of the Arab Forum for Alternatives and has been researching the legislation process in post-revolution Egypt, specifically as it applies to the protection of minorities and the rights of civil society. He co-authored “Social Movements in the Arab World: Case studies from Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, and Bahrain” published by the Center for Arab Unity Studies and has written extensively on the nature of the emerging Egyptian state. He is regular contributor to the As-Shorouk and As-Safir newspapers and holds a Masters degree in Political Development from Cairo University.
