“The Palestinian camps in Lebanon between reality and solutions” is a comprehensive report published by Issam Fares Center for Lebanon regarding the conference about “the Palestinian camps in Lebanon: a desperate reality looking for solutions” which was organized by the center on the 17th and 18th of November 2009.
The book contains transcripts of the participants’ speeches with their conclusions and remarks. It also includes the center’s suggestions to “deal with the desperate situations in the Palestinian camps. Decision-makers in Lebanon can benefit from them to solve this serious problem especially that it is still the center of Lebanese, Palestinian, Arab and international attention” according to the prologue of the book written by Abdallah Bou Habib.
Bou Habib adds that the center aims at “delivering the views of a wide elite of Lebanese and Palestinian intellectuals, politicians and academics from different factions in order to improve the debate and dialogue and to find the best solutions to this problem in the interest of the Lebanese and Palestinian people alike.
