Al Kawashra village pays tribute to Fares
19 Mar 2010

The municipal council and the inhabitants of Al Kawashra village organized a ceremony, attended by many remarkable figures, to pay tribute to the ex-Vice Prime Minister Issam Fares. The President of Al Dabbabiya municipality, Jamil Ali Suleiman, thanked Fares for all his contributions and his projects in favor for development. The ex-President of the Order of Lawyers in the North, George Mourani, stressed upon the importance of Fares’ position and role. He said: Wasn’t he among the best on the national and political level and in terms of representation, competency, integrity and straightforwardness, who deserves to take part in the national dialogue, considering his outstanding stance and contribution?

The Manager of Fares in Lebanon, Sajih Attie, said that Fares “upheld a radiant and unified Lebanon in the Arab environment, not supported by any party, but by all the Lebanese. We are counting on the national unity government, headed by Prime Minister Hariri, and we do hope that this government, in which everyone is represented, will realize all achievements and ambitions it has set up for itself and to which the Lebanese are looking forward. We are also hoping that the government will hold a special conference devoted to the development of Akkar.

Attie claimed that the implementation activities to build “Issam Fares Institute for Technology” were launched. Then, the President and the members of the Municipal Council of Al Dabbabiye handed over to Issam Fares, through Attie, an honoring shield.
