Short Bio:

Karen AbuZayd has served as Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) since June 2005. She had previously served for five years as an Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Deputy Commissioner-General of UNRWA. Before joining UNRWA, she worked at The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees for 19 years.
