"Arab Sovereign Wealth Funds: Growth, Relevance, and Prospects"

Date: Thursday 28 May 2009
Time: 4 - 6 p.m.
Location: Auditorium B, West Hall, AUB
Arab Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWF) have become relevant actors in global financial markets. They have also triggered an intense debate about the political meaning of their rise and their investment behavior - both, in industrialized economies, and increasingly so at home. This panel will discuss the rise of Arab SWFs as a relevant actor class, their exposure to political sentiments in the Arab world, the West, and their future role in global financial markets and beyond.
