'Promoting Reform from within the Arab World: Lessons Learnt from the Inception of the Arab Democracy Foundation'

Dr. Saad Eddine Ibrahim, one of Egypt's leading human rights activists and founder of the Ibn Khaldun Center for Development, will be hosted on May 6 by the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs at the American University of Beirut to deliver a lecture and hold a public discussion.

Carrying the title 'Promoting Reform from within the Arab World: Lessons Learnt from the Inception of the Arab Democracy Foundation', the lecture will be held at the West Hall, Auditorium B, at 4:00pm- 6:00pm.

Dr. Saad Eddine Ibrahim is a Professor of Political Sociology at the American University of Cairo. He Ibrahim has written about democracy, Islam, civil society, citizenship and has received numerous awards such as the American Sociological Association Distinguished Scholar Award, and International Human Rights Award of the Lawyers Committee on Human Rights.
