'Climate Change and Carbon Emissions Trading in the Arab World: A Realistic Answer to the Dangers Ahead?'

The Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy& International Affairs at AUB is pleased to announce the third lecture in its series

'The Impact of Climate Change on the Arab World'. Carrying the title 'Climate Change and Carbon Emissions Trading in the Arab World: A Realistic Answer to the Dangers Ahead?', the lecture shall be held Tuesday, March 25, from 5-7pm, at the Auditorium B of AUB West Hall.

The two key Speakers at the coming lecture are:

-Jad Chaaban, PhD, assistant professor of Economics, AUB
He is an assistant Professor of Economics at AUB. Chaaban holds a Master in Economics of the Environment and Natural Resources and a PhD in Economics from the Toulouse School of Economics. His main research interests include the Industrial Organization of Agro-food Sectors, Public Economics, Economics of Development and Environmental Economics.

-Souheil Abboud, Middle East Regional Director - EcoSecurities Group plc.
Mr. Abboud is EcoSecurities' Middle East Regional Director. Mr. Abboud has 10 years of international experience in developing, managing, structuring and financing renewable energy and energy efficiency projects / companies in Canada, Southeast Asia and the Middle East

It is worth noting that the Research and Policy Forum on Climate Change and Environment in the Arab World aims at providing a mechanism that brings together AUB professors, other academics and researchers, civil society, and policymakers to formulate environmental policies in the Arab world and to mitigate the impact of expected climate change scenarios and other environmental challenges.
